HD screen and HD connection along does not automatically give you high definition picture.
A complete video tract (camera-recording- broadcast -receiver) must be HD as well.
Example: A HD connection to a regular Digital Foxtel does NOT make Foxtel HD.
HD sources available in Australia are HD Digital free to air broadcast (Channels ABC, 7,9,10,SBS) or HD Fox selected channels. HD broadcast received on TV screens equipped with HD digital set top box. Most of LCD and Plasma TV today have built-in HD tuner. Sometimes a broadcast is HD but the actual source (camera etc) is not HD. Standard Definition “up-scaled” to HD at the studio.
